Vernicos
Aviation S.A., trading under the name of VERAVIA
is a member of the Vernicos Yachts Shipping & Holdings S.A.
It was first established in 1990 under the name of KAL Aviation
S.A. and was active in the area of air transport. In June 2000 it
was acquired by Vernicos Yachts Shipping & Holdings S.A.
Veravia's business objective is the air transportation of cargo
in Greece, Cyprus, the Balkans and the rest of the countries in
Europe and the Mediterranean basin.
The company's headquarters are at the Athens International Airport
"Eleftherios Venizelos" at Spata, 27 km outside of Athens.
Here you will also find the Management team, Marketing & Sales
Department, Finance, Technical Department and the Flight Operations
Department. Additionally, Veravia maintains its own ground handling
stations staffed with experienced personnel and modern equipment
at the airports it regularly serves (Thessalonika, Heraklion in
Crete, Rhodes, Cos, Limnos, Mytilini in Lesbos, Chios, Samos, Syros,
Mykonos and Larnaca in Cyprus).
The company's impressive growth over the last few years is reflected
in the increased size of our fleet, technical support, manpower
and, of course, turnover. Thus VERAVIA is definitely in a position
to meet the needs of the current market and its healthy economic
base provides the resources to cover the current and future investments
essential to maintain market leadership in the private Greek airfreight
industry.
In July 2003 Vernicos Aviation S.A. was approved by the CAA (Civil
Aviation Authority) and the JAA (Joint Aviation Authorities) as
an air carrier according to regulation JAR OPS 1.
